It acts as the local touchpoint for executing state-sponsored livelihood schemes. This includes footwear making, cane/bamboo articles, carpentry, and specialized weaving.The district office organizes local trade exhibitions and marketing initiatives, such as District Level Khadi Melas, to give local crafts direct exposure to buyers.
